Bit of an edit:
Been told the steel head gasket is a stock part, I assumed that would be aftermarket :imnew:

Have since noticed the pistons have "05" on the crown, so (once again :razz: ) I assume they are first oversize? which indicates it has been rebuilt

Dropped the turbo and injectors back into the shop today.
Turbo will be dismantled and checked/cleaned.
Injectors are pulsing ok, so will also be cleaned and checked.
Pulled the forks down ready to send the inner tubes off for straightening and new hardchrome.

Had a call from the fork tube 'spert today...the bend in one of the tubes is borderline too far gone and the rust pitting to both tubes is also pretty deep :-?
He's 90% sure he can repair them but we'll have to wait and see. :pray:

My Man-Servant has finished pulling down the engine :D
All looks good!
Parts now ready to be whisked off for vapour blasting.

Looks like they made the crank strong as, are these basically a GS650 motor modded a bit??
