Looks like they made the crank strong as, are these basically a GS650 motor modded a bit??
Unsure really. Very little in way of parts interchangeability between the XN and any other bike.

Crank and tranny look fine, except....
#2 big end seems slightly tight compared to the rest? So we popped the rod off and sure enough it appears the bearing shells have been getting hot?
This is a bugger, one more hiccup to deal with. :banghead:

Poor ole stator showing the scars from where the bike was left leaning into the dirt for years :-?
It's saveable, but will end up painted rather than polished.
Another part that that has gone extinct unfortunately, so will have to make do until something turns up.

Love old bikes :-?
Rotor is resisting all efforts to remove it. :banghead:
Have rattle gunned it, breaker barred it, heated it, smacked puller with a hammer.
Zilch apart from burring up the end of the puller.
Has to come off so crank guy can spin it up and polish journals etc.
So dropped it off at the engineering shop. They make up a puller/jig and put it in the press.
Also dropped the frame off for straightening while I was out.
