SL350 time

Post by Zedboy »

So I dragged out the ole SL today.
It's on it's way to have the engine repaired/rebuilt. Found a bike mechanic that works from home and does a damn nice job.
I know I'll never get to it otherwise, so looking forward to hearing her roar
Once it's running I think it'll do a mild restore job....strip down and paint frame, replace dodgy stuff with good used parts and generally leave it as a nice survivor type look. :eyebrows:

Some common interest going on here. I remember sitting on a blue SL175 in about 1972 thinking this was the pinnacle of motorbikes. Wasn't allowed to ride it though.

Gotta luv the SL 350's, my older brothers mate Nipper Phillips had a new SL 350 back in the day, green same as Zedboy's, my brother had a BSA B 250?? think it was and l the BSA Bantam 125 bored out to 150 FFS, we went on rides along the Murray River in Vic near home, l couldn't believe the power the SL had, fell in love then.
