Enough Zinc to last me this lifetime and possibly into the next :lol:
All things being equal I might get to try and plate something this weekend :yahoo:

Not enough hours in the day :-?
Set up a couple of bus bars this arvo. Should keep wires up and out of the way and allow for adding more without the bench mess..... hopefully :lol:

Doesn't anyone else in Tasmania do zinc plating? This sounds like too much effort Zedboy, you have far more patience than I do. And maybe more hours! Things haven't progressed as fast as I'd hoped. First the supplier left the zinc anodes out of the box, then I ran out of hours. Started again today... Got the chemicals into solution and had a think about wiring etc. Decided to add a couple of bus bars to run power from and also going to get some b...

So it happens today I came across an RD400 engine, coils and tank. :D No frame or other parts. Just for kicks I thought I'd see if it fitted into a Deltek frame I have....and guess what?! Could not get the rotor off the XN85's crank for love nor money...heat, puller and brute force resulted in a damaged puller, which was borrowed from the bike shop. Oops. Ended up taking it to an engineering shop where they had to make a jig and use a 10 ton press. Finally came off with a hell of a b...
