My new Z1000A1 bought new in Mildura Vic. in December 1976, was on L plates at the time so this pic must be around March 1977 as l upped too P plates for awhile then lost that and back too L plates later on, crashed it up badly in 1982 in Kununurra WA, repaired and traded in in Perth WA in 1983, bought back in 2020 from gumtrees minus the original engine, currently been rebuilt as we speak with temp engine till l find the original then be swapped over.

slowly Terry, very slowly which is ok as won't be able afford to put petrol in it till they knock Putin off

it now has rebuilt wheels, suspension, brakes and new tyres.

l sat original/survivor body set, mudguards, seat and Zorsts on it too see what will look like when done, it's been built as a One Owner Crash Repaired Survivor (l have the number plate on hold- OOCRS), no new or repo shinny parts, no rezinc or chrome, no new paint unless absolutely needed (few touch ups on surface rust on frame etc.., motor won't be cleaned/blasted, l need a bike to ride in shitty/rainy weather without having to clean after a ride, with retyrement not far away it'll get plenty use in winter down south.

it's an interesting process buying old patina parts l must say.

Looking good Ross. The tank looks like it's been painted but I'm guessing you haen't touched it. It looks to be in pretty good nick.
