Just had to have a look at the tank set in place.... Next is harness & front brakes.

Looking good old fella. What process was used to de-chrome guard? and are fork legs paint or power coated?

Didn't de-chrome front & rear guards, simply sand-blasted to remove flaking chrome and had powder coated.(Gloss-black).
Front forks were pretty good alloy, if I had time over I would have polished... Used calliper semi-gloss black paint.
It will be a silver (alloy) engine so it should look fine with black forks.
I think I need those big blinkers so that it easily recognise as a Z1 series.
BTW had a lot of success getting parts locally from Z1 parts (Tassy)... Fast service and cheap postage. They also have monthly specials!

So you can powder coat over chrome?
